Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix was 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes at her particular events.
